June a la Kate Uncorked!
Happy Monday, readers! I wanted to share a few pictures of what I've been up to the past few weeks (hence, my lack of posts...forgive me!). First and foremost, more catering! I had a rather large gig last Thursday that was quite the undertaking- a party for 150 people. Everything went well and my partner and I were super happy with the final product! The menu included a cheese and charcuterie platter with fresh figs, apricots and fig jam, homemade sourdough crostini with burrata and herb pesto, chicken satay with peanut sauce, beef and spicy Italian sausage sliders with homemade buns, muenster cheese and aioli, ramen noodles with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, peppers, edamame and grilled shrimp (served in mini Chinese takeout boxes with a bamboo spork..so cute!) and cornflake, marshmallow and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. In addition to catering I've been doing lots of cooking and meal deliveries, primarily for Mom's with newborn babies. I try to buy as many ingredients as I can from farmers markets and local vendors. Please enjoy the pics and stay tuned for Wine Wednesday! Cheers!
