Our ‘Pillars of Sustainability’
Building a business that can grow, last and change
1. People
We are focused on building a team of individuals who share our values. We strive to create a respectful, challenging and dynamic work environment that allows our employees to grow and fosters creativity. We also believe it's important to maintain a work-life balance.
2. Community
Local supports local! We are focused on being a sustainer of our community. Whether that means sourcing and building relationships with local farms and vendor, volunteering or donating when we are able, or doing our part to lower our carbon footprint, we want to support our community and fellow small businesses however we can!
3. Sourcing
We believe that just because our impact is small it doesn't mean it's insignificant! We do our best to build relationships and partnerships with local farms and businesses. These help us support local and assure that we are able to use products when they are in season and at their peak! We also use recyclable packaging and are proud to compost in the kitchen through Compost RVA!
4. Knowledge and Transparency
The most valuable thing we can offer you is trust. We are always up to date with current food and health trends and do our best to communicate this to our customers! We are also fully transparent about where our ingredients come from and all of our practices. Every ingredient is purchased with purpose, not for convenience. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out with questions!
5. Quality Control
We are a small business for a very specific reason- quality. If we lose the integrity of our product, we've lost sight of our mission. In order to uphold our our commitment to high quality meals, local sourcing and small batch production, we place a cap on the number of orders we receive each week.
6. Growth
We want to grow slowly and organically. We believe that if we stay true to our Pillars of Sustainability, that growth will come to us when we are ready for it, not because we are forcing it.
